LUIS SCACCABARROZZI

Luis Scaccabarrozzi has a diverse and extensive work history in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors. Luis has held positions such as Director of Research and Grants Management at Amida Care, NYC Asylee/Refugee Sanctuary Housing Supervisor at the NYC Department of Homeless Services, and Strategic Thinker Consultant at AID FOR AIDS International. In addition, he has served as Executive Director of the Hispanic Health Network and Vice-President at the Latino Commission on AIDS. Luis Scaccabarrozzi has also been the President/Founder of Culturally Competent Solutions and the Director of HIV Health Literacy at the AIDS Community Research Initiative of America.

 

Among his experiences are the development of health policy agendas, the creation of partnership opportunities, the development of programs, research, and the development of fund development and grant writing. Health equity, LGBTQIA+ health, minority health, immigrant needs, mental health and substance abuse, HIV and aging, workforce development, social marketing and messaging, and community education are some of his areas of expertise.

 

Luis Scaccabarrozzi began college in Lima, Peru studying languages and as Pre Medicine student at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BA, BS, and Masters in Public Health. In 2017,he attended UCLA, and completed the Health Care Executive Program at the Anderson School of Business.
